I just read your review of the debate between Mr. Dillahunty and Mr. Bruggencate. I cannot help but notice that all of your criticisms are against the atheist. I would expect you to fairly review Sye Ten’s performance as well since you stated that Sye easily won.
If you don’t then you are breaking the 9th Commandment! Shame on you.
BTW Dillahunty did a review where he pointed out his as well as Sye’s errors. The atheists at that debate were angered by Bruggencate’s arrogance in implying he can read their minds and state that they know but deny knowledge of God.
So based on your review, you helped Mr. Dillahunty prove the point that Mr. Bruggencate is an arrogant Theistic jerk, just like you seem to be.
Thank you for your feedback, Darren. First, I need to correct you. The article you are referring to is not a review of the debate between Dillahunty and Bruggencate. It was an article that addressed the question, “Is Matt Dillahunty an Irrationalist?” This is why I said nothing negative of Sye Ten Bruggencate’s performance in that debate (overall I think he did significantly better than Dillahunty). As for Sye’s performance, all of the disagreements and crticism I have concerning his performance are minor; however, I had significant disagreements with Dillahunty’s arguments. Anyone who is aware that I’m a Christian should certainly not be surprised by this. I do not criticize atheists for focusing more on their disagreements with Christians than their disagreement with atheists, and I think it’s ridiculous to expect me to spend so much of my time hashing out disagreements with Christians when dealing with unbelievers is one of the primary objectives of this website.
Your accusation that I broke the 9th commandment is puzzling, but I have a feeling that your accusation rests on a lack of understanding that you have about the 9th commandment (and scripture in general). Seeing that I’m not required to express disagreements that I have with Sye in an article that was about Dillahunty’s irrationalism, I have not broken the 9th commandment.
However, it looks like you have broken the 9th commandment because you say that Sye implied that he can read the minds of atheists. Sye’s argument concerning atheists suppressing the truth is clearly derived from Romans 1:18-25. That being said, your representation of Sye’s argument is not accurate. Based on your hostility and blatant misrepresentation of Sye, I would say that the word “jerk” describes you better than it describes me.
